  1. Being from the Detroit area, lemme just say this first and foremost: I GOT IT.

    However, because I'm one to try to make people think (GOD FORBID), I raised a couple questions about the copy in this commercial shortly after it aired.

    1) By saying "Imported from Detroit," were they implying that Detroit was in another country?


    2) If by saying "Imported from Detroit," were they implying that only luxury cars could be imported from other countries?

    Yes, I knew what they meant, I GOT IT, but the inner English teacher in me raised these questions on Twitter because I knew that NOT EVERYBODY WOULD get it, and one of these days, I will fulfill everyone else's prophecies of me and just become a damn teacher.

    However, because I'm NOT a teacher, of course, it backfired, and now I have people thinking I'm some sort of moron for even raising the questions I did.

    I don't have enough palms with which to smack my own face. :-/
